The breeding of silkworms for cocoon production requires a specific set of environmental conditions and factors to ensure optimal growth and productivity. To address this need, Truemist has designed and manufactured a perfect misting system for sericulture cocoon humidification.

Our misting and fogging systems are equipped with strategically placed high-pressure mist nozzles, ensuring that the system works perfectly without spilling water over the cocoon. The high-pressure misting system operates by connecting the pump to a water source through a hose and then connecting it to an electrical outlet. The system is then connected to a timer, which activates it every seven or eight minutes for one-minute intervals. This causes the room to slowly fill with a fine mist that maintains humidity levels without wetting the cocoon.

It is important to maintain a moist environment for successful cocoon production, with humidity levels kept between 80-90% depending on the stage of development. A higher humidity of up to 90% is necessary during the pinning stage, while lower humidity can be tolerated during fruit body development. However, achieving the right level of humidification can be tricky, as it is essential to maintain air humidity without directly spraying the cocoon with water. Cocoons absorb any liquids they come into contact with, and consistent spraying or pouring of water can cause them to turn into a mushy puddle.
